August 2023 Newsletter

Week of August 8th to 10th -- A & B Week; Alligators; Bears; Red, Brown, & Orange Days; and Back to School


Week of August 15th to 17th -- C & D Week; Cats; Carpenters; Dogs; Purple, Black, & Yellow Days;  and Color Mixing


Week of August 22nd to 24th -- E & F Week, Eggs, Frogs, Green & Blue Days, Color Review, Grandparents

 

This month your child will explore the world of learning and will develop many new basic skills.  Encourage your child to practice and develop these new skills.  During the coming weeks, we will study about colors, letters, alligators, bears, cats, dogs, carpenters, eggs, frogs, and grandparents.  Our calendar shows when we are studying each color and letter.  We will introduce a new color every day and two new letters each week.

 

For the year, each child needs to bring the following:  1 package of napkins (200 count) and 1 box of tissues (200 count). 

 

If your child is sick or will not be attending, please call before class begins.  If your child misses any days in a week, they are still to be paid for

 

Please put your child’s name on their coat, sweater, or any other items brought from home.  Please double knot your child’s shoes.

 

We will come out and get the children for class.  Please do not come inside the gate.  We will also bring the children back out to the gate after class.  Also, please hand us any money, notes, etc. instead of putting them in the children’s backpacks.  Thank you.

 

Show and Tell will begin in October.

·     Each child needs to bring a package of 200 napkins for the summer.

 

·     Each child needs to attend at least 3 days a week.  There will be a $10 charge if your child doesn’t come on a scheduled day.

 

·     Each week needs to be paid for by 5:30 on Fridays or there will be a $10 charge.

 

·     There is a charge of $2 per hour.

Summer 2020 Calendar



 May 25th -- Memorial Day (Closed)

Daycare rates are $2 per child for the first hour each day and then $1 an hour per child after that.  Please let us know in advance if your child will or will not be attending.  We’re open 6:30-5:30.  Children need to bring a lunch, a drink, and a fork and/or spoon if needed.  We do not microwave.  Children also need to bring a blanket and pillow for rest time after lunch.

Please bring a package of napkins (200-count package) for the summer.

Rena will be tutoring between 9:00 and 5:30 this summer.  Please let her know as soon as possible if you are interested.

We will be open regular daycare hours the week of May 28th to 31st.

We can give kids rides back and forth from Cat Camp if needed.

We will be learning about the 23rd Psalm this summer.  Class times are from 9:00 to 1:00 on Thursdays.  Lunch is from 11:00 to 12:00 every day.

Rena will be tutoring between 9:00 and 5:30 this summer.  Please let her know as soon as possible if you are interested.

If your child is sick or will not be attending, please call before class begins.  If your child misses one day in a week, it is still to be paid for.  If your child misses 2 days in a row, he will get credit for the second day the next week.

Giants Back-to-School Note

Please let us know by 2:30 if your child won’t need to be picked up after school.  There will be a $2 charge if you don’t let us know that they’re not coming.  Also, we need to know by 7:30 if they’re not coming before school.

We need the kids to please bring 1 package of napkins (200 count) and 1 box of tissues (200 count) to use here.

Library Books and Tutoring

All library books checked out at the Dollens Library must be returned this Tuesday, July 24th.

Also, we are beginning to work on a tutoring schedule for school this fall. Please check with us to arrange times for tutoring. The times available will be 3:30-4:30 and 4:30-5:30 Monday through Friday and 5:30-6:30 Monday through Thursday. Times go quickly, so get with us soon.
