Thursday and Graduation Reminder Note

There will be no class on Thursday, May 23^rd.  For students not graduating, cost for the week will be $16.  For students graduating it will be $24.

Graduation will be Thursday, May 23^rd from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  All the graduates need to be here at 6:45 to get ready.  Graduation will begin at 7:00 for parents, relatives, and friends.  It will be here at the preschool.  Graduation is only for the kids who will be attending kindergarten next year.  The children will be wearing caps and gowns.  Girls—please do not wear ponytails or anything on top of your head.  Refreshments will follow the ceremony.

Lake Monroe Field Trip Reminder

Just a reminder:  This Thursday, May 16^th, is our trip to Lake Monroe from 10:00 to 2:00.  Please again let us know if you can drive and help us.  Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch and 2 cans of pop or juice.  Your child needs to wear tennis shoes and bring a jacket please.  Thanks.

Spring Mill Field Trip Reminder

This Thursday, April 18^th, is our trip to Spring Mill from 10:00 to 2:00.  Please let us know if you can drive and help us.  Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch and 2 cans of pop or juice.  Please dress your children in a jacket and tennis shoes and not sandals or flip flops.  Thank you.

Spring Mill Field Trip Postponed

We are going to have to postpone our field trip to Spring Mill from this Thursday until next Thursday, April 25^th.  The weather forecast for this Thursday is for rain, including severe thunderstorms, and strong winds.  Hopefully next Thursday’s weather will be better.  Thank you.

We will begin practicing graduation songs this month.

The end of the school year will be Wednesday, May 22^nd, and graduation  will be Thursday, May 23^rd.

Coming up in May:

·        * Field Trip to Lake Monroe on May 16^th from 10:00 to 2:00.  We will again need help.

·        * Continue Dinosaur Unit

·        * Graduation will be May 23^rd.  This is only for the kids who will be attending kindergarten next year.  It is at 7:00 p.m. here at the school.

Preschool Closed; Daycare Open

Since the North Lawrence schools are closed today because of snow, so is Sunshine School.  We are however open for daycare normal hours from 6:30 to 5:30 if you need us.  The kids just need to bring a lunch with them. Thanks.

Valentine’s Party Reminder

Reminder:  On Thursday, February 14^th, we will have a Valentine’s Day Party and Valentine Day Card Exchange.  We will be making Valentine’s Delivery Trucks for our valentine cards.  Please do not put any other children’s names on the card’s outside or envelopes.  Each child sends one to everyone in their class, but they just sign their own names on the back of the cards.  There are currently 13 children in the class.  The cards should be brought February 12^th and 13^th with your child’s name on them.

2-Hour Delay 1/21

There's a 2-hour delay for NLCS tomorrow.  We will still be open for daycare at 6:30 like normal.  Preschool will be from 10:00-12:00, but kids can come earlier if needed.  Please let us know if you have any questions.  Thanks!

Thank you for sending snacks.  They are very much appreciated.  We presently have 12 children and 2 teachers.  Please send a snack at the beginning of each month.

Please remember to have your child bring something for Show and Tell on their assigned day.  This is important as it is their first public speaking.

We will be sending home advent chains on December 4^th.  The children should take off one candy cane each day starting at the bottom beginning on December 4^th.  When they take off the last one, the next day will be Christmas.

We are going Christmas Caroling on Thursday, December 6^th, to the stores in Oolitic.  We will need parents to help and drive.
