Advent Chain Instructions

Starting December 1st, the children should take off one candy cane each day starting at the bottom beginning tomorrow, Friday, December 1st.  When they take off the last one, the next day will be Christmas, so count the sticker as Christmas Day.

Christmas Party and Christmas Vacation Reminders

This Thursday, December 16th, we will have our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange.  If you have not brought your gift for the gift exchange, bring it as soon as possible.  The gift should cost around $5.00.  The boys need to bring a boy’s gift and the girls need to bring a girl’s gift.  Will the following children’s mothers please send a special snack for the party:  Gracelyn Grogan, Lilah McCameron, and Barrett McDowell.  There are 15 in the class.

 

Our last day of school before Christmas Vacation is Thursday, December 16th.  We will resume school on Tuesday, January 4th.  The last day will we have extended care will be Friday, December 17th.  We will resume extended care on Monday, January 3rd.

December 2020 Newsletter

Sorry that this is so late!

Week of December 1-3:  Begin Number Unit, Numbers 1-4, Ovals and Diamonds, Christmas

December 17th:  Christmas Party and Gift Exchange

 

Please remember to have your child bring something for Show and Tell on their assigned day.  This is important, as it is their first public speaking.

 

We will be sending home advent chains on December 1st.  The children should take off one candy cane each day starting at the bottom beginning today, Tuesday, December 1st.  When they take off the last one, the next day will be Christmas, so count the sticker as Christmas Day.

 

On Wednesday, December 17th, we will have our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange.  The gift should cost around $5.00.  The boys need to bring a boy’s gift and the girls need to bring a girl’s gift.  Please bring your gift by Thursday, December 10th.  Will the following children please bring a special snack for the party:  Jagger Dowdy, Gracelyn Grogan, Holten Harding, and Barrett McDowell.

Parents’ Night Out

We are having a Parents’ Night Out on December 7th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.  We will have crafts, videos, snacks, songs, and books.  The cost will be $5 per child.  We hope that this will give you an evening to shop, wrap gifts, or just relax.  Older siblings are welcome to come too.  We need to know if your kids are coming by Monday, December 3rd so we can plan.

Christmas Party Reminder

Next Thursday, December 21st, we will have our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange.  The gift should cost around $5.00.  The boys need to bring a boy’s gift and the girls need to bring a girl’s gift.  Please bring your gift by this Thursday, December 14th.  Will the following children please bring a special snack for the party:  Jade Ford, Henley Free, Rayson Grimes, and Alexis Hernandez.  There are 17 in the class.

Picture Money is due November 9th.  Please return proofs also.

There will also be no daycare November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.

Our Sleepover will be on Friday, December 8th.  This is to give you an evening to shop or wrap presents.  Older siblings are welcome to come to the Sleepover also. It will begin at 7:00 on Friday evening.  The children need to wear their pajamas here and bring a sleeping bag or bedroll, pillow, and one favorite stuffed animal.  Please put your child’s name on everything.  We will be writing letters to Santa Claus and doing other Christmas activities, songs, books, and movies.  You will need to pick up your child by 10:00 Saturday morning.  We will have breakfast here.  There is a $10 charge for the Sleepover.  Please let us know by December 5th if your child will be attending so we can plan for breakfast and activities.

On Tuesday, December 22nd we will also be going Christmas Caroling.  We are planning on going to Casey’s, Dr. Sills, and the Medical Center.  We will need 2 or 3 parents to help and drive.
