Week of January 31st to February 2nd -- G & H Week, Groundhog's Day, and Hats

Week of February 7th to 9th -- K & L Week, Kings, Library, and Abraham Lincoln

Week of February 14th to 16th -- I & J Week, Ice Cream, Jelly Beans, Valentine's Day

February 14th -- Valentine's Day Party and Card Exchange

Week of February 21st to 23rd -- M & N Week, Mice, and George Washington 

 

We will be studying about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.  Your child should know many interesting facts about them by the end of the month.

 

On Tuesday, February 14^th, we will have a Valentine’s Day Party and Valentine Day Card Exchange.  We will be making Valentine’s Delivery Trucks for our valentine cards.  Please do not put any other children’s names on the card’s outside or envelopes.  Each child sends one to everyone in the class, but they just sign their own names on the back of the cards.  There are currently 12 people in the class.  The cards should be brought by Thursday, February 9^th.

 

Will the following children’s mothers please send a special snack for our Valentine Party:  Eddy Koch, Saylor Lybrook, and Beretta Wright.

 

REMINDER:  If the North Lawrence schools are called off because of the weather, we will also be called off.  Also, if there is a two-hour delay class will be from 10:00-1:00.  Daycare will still be open regular hours those days.

Week of January 3rd to 5th -- A & B Week, Begin Positions Unit--Under & On, 9 & 10, New Year's, Winter, and All About Me

Week of January 10th to 12th -- C & D Week, In & Between Week, Begin Writing Names, Begin Tying Shoes, Dentists, Martin Luther King Jr., Winter, andAll About Me

Week of January 17th to 19th -- E & F Week, Beside & Behind Week, Begin Addresses & Phone Numbers, Eskimos, Friends, Winter, and All About Me

Week of January 24th to 26th -- Positions Review and Winter

We will begin going through the alphabet again.  This time we will work on objects beginning with each letter, color pictures, and write the letters.

 

This month we are also working on a unit called “All About Me”; positions; Martin Luther King Jr., writing their names; and learning to tie their shoes, addresses, phone numbers, and birthdays.

November 8^th -- Election Day — Virtual Day – Extended Care Open

 

November 21^st-25^th -- Thanksgiving Break--Closed

 

December 21^st-January 2^nd -- Christmas Break—Closed

 

January 2^nd -- Make Up Day – Closed or Open if have school

 

January 3^rd -- First Day After Christmas Break

 

January 16^th -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day -- No School/Make-Up Day—Extended Care Open

 

February 20^th -- President’s Day -- No School/Make-Up Day—Extended Care Open

 

March 20^th-24^th -- Spring Break—Closed

 

April 7^th -- Good Friday -- No School/Make-Up Day—Extended Care Open

 

May 2^nd -- Election Day — Virtual Day – Extended Care Open

May 19^th -- Last Day of School

 

We will be open for extended care on school snow days and snow make-up days and Election Days.  Kids need to bring a lunch with a drink on those days.
