Just a reminder:  There will be no school or daycare all next week, from November 20^th to 24^th.  We will reopen on Monday, November 27^th.

Thanksgiving Break—November 20^th to 24^th   

 

Please remember to have your child bring something for Show and Tell on their assigned day.  This is important, as it is their first public speaking.

 

There will be no daycare November 20^th to 24^th.

 

On Wednesday, December 20^th, we will have our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange.  The gift should cost around $5.00.  The boys need to bring a boy’s gift and the girls need to bring a girl’s gift.  Will the following children please bring a special treat for our party:  Millie Manion, Beau Sims, and Ella Stewart.

In our safety unit we are presenting dangers and what to do or how to avoid them.  We want the children to be aware.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

 

Please remember to call us before class starts if your child is not going to be here.

 

We will be closed for Fall Break for preschool from October 10^th to 12^th.  We will also be closed for daycare from October 9^th to 13^th.

 

On Thursday, October 26^th, we will be having our Harvest Party, instead of a Halloween Party.  The children need to come to class dressed as something related to farming or autumn (or at least not scary).  Will the following children please bring a special treat for our party:  Addison Cobb and Saylor Lybrook .  We divide the class up to have some kids bringing snacks to each party.  There are 10 people in the class.

About Your Teachers

 

          Rohnda is married to Bob, who is a retired fisheries research biologist at the Avoca Fish Hatchery.  She has two daughters—Rena (see below) and Robyn.  Rohnda has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in elementary education with a minor in kindergarten.  She holds a master’s degree from Indiana University in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood.  Rohnda began teaching third grade at Brownstown Elementary.  This is her 38^th year to have Sunshine School.  Rohnda and Rena attend Englewood Baptist Church.  Rohnda likes to collect magnets and owls and to read, read, read, and read when she can find the time.

 

          Rena graduated from Milligan College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education.  This is her 24^th year teaching.  She likes to collect keychains, read, shop, and watch sports, particularly IU basketball and the Atlanta Braves.
