May Notes

North Lawrence Schools are closed on Tuesday, May 8^th for the Primary Elections.  We will not have preschool that day but will be open for extended care regular hours.

There will not be any preschool or extended care on Thursday, May 17^th.  This is so we can get ready for graduation that night.

We will be closed for extended care on Monday, May 28^th, for Memorial Day.  We will be open for extended care the rest of the week.

May 2018 Newsletter

Week of May 1st to 3rd--Dinosaurs (Pterandon, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus Rex)

Week of May 8th to 10th--Mother's Day and Strangers

May 8th--No school, yes daycare

Week of 15th to 17th--End of School, Summer, Baseball, and Memorial Day

May 17th--No school or daycare, Graduation at 7:00 p.m.

We will be continuing to practice graduation songs this month.

There will not be any class on Tuesday, May 8^th.  North Lawrence Schools are closed that day for the Primary Elections, so we are closed also.  Cost for the week will be $20 for everyone.  We will be open for daycare regular hours.

There will not be any class or extended care on Thursday, May 17^th.  For students not graduating, cost for the week will be $20.  For students graduating it will be $30.

Graduation will be Thursday, May 17^th at 7:00 p.m.  All the graduates need to be here at 6:45 to get ready.  Graduation will begin at 7:00 for parents, relatives, and friends.  It will be here at the preschool.  Graduation is only for the kids who will be attending kindergarten next year.  The children will be wearing caps and gowns.  Girls—please do not wear ponytails or anything on top of your head.  Refreshments will follow the ceremony.

Rena will be tutoring children this summer.  This is for children going into kindergarten through Algebra.  If you are interested, please let us know.  We are trying to finalize that schedule.

We have 4 or 5 spots remaining for next year’s class.  If you have a child or know of someone who might be interested, they need to let us know soon.  Registration is $80 and is due by June 29^th.  Tuition will be $32 per week next school year.

We hope that you have a safe and happy summer.  Please remember to buckle up.  Thank you for sharing your child with us.

We will be open regular daycare hours the week of May 21^st to 25^th.

Daycare rates are $1 an hour per child.  Please let us know in advance if your child will or will not be attending.  We’re open 6:30-5:30.  Children need to bring a lunch, a drink, and a fork and/or spoon if needed.  We do not microwave.  Children also need to bring a blanket and pillow for rest time after lunch.

We can give kids rides back and forth from Cat Camp if needed.

We will be learning about the Armor of God this summer.  Class times are from 9:00 to 1:00 on Thursdays.  Lunch is from 11:00 to 12:00 every day. 

Please bring a package of napkins (200-count package) for the summer.

Rena will be tutoring between 9:00 and 5:30 this summer.  Please let her know as soon as possible if you are interested.

March 2018 Newsletter

Week of March 6th to 8th--St. Patrick's Day and kindergarten evaluations

Week of March 13th to 15th--Spring Break--No class or daycare

Week of March 20th to 22nd--Q, R, & S Week; Queens; Rabbits; Sailboats; and Review

Week of April 27th to 29th--Easter and  April Fool's Day

We will be closed the week of March 13^th.  There will be no school or daycare.

We will be evaluating the students that will be going to kindergarten next year beginning March 6^th.

If your child will be attending kindergarten next year, make sure and call their school to make an appointment for kindergarten screening on their school’s day.  Children must turn 5 on or before August 1^st.

The Easter Party will be on Thursday, March 29^th.  There are currently 16 people in the class.  Will the following mothers please send a special snack:  Eli Ryan, Alex Christian, Ryder & Finley Crane.

REMINDER:  If the North Lawrence schools are called off because of the weather, we will also be called off.  Also, if there is a two-hour delay, class will be from 10:00-1:00.  Daycare will still be open regular hours.

If we miss 1 school day because of weather, you still need to pay for that day.  If we miss 2 or 3 days any one week, you still pay for the 1 day that week.
