April 20th:  Spring Mill Field Trip 9:00 to 2:00

We are continuing to practice graduation songs this month.

Thank you for everyone who participated in our fund-raiser.  We made $695.00 towards a new gate.

The Easter Party will be on Thursday, April 13th.  There are currently 16 people in the class.  Will the following children please bring a special snack:  Baelyn Pocrnich, Mehar Rajpal, and Eli Ryan.

Thursday, April 20^th, is our field trip to Spring Mill from 9:00 to 2:00.  Please let us know if you can drive and help us.  Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch and 2 cans of pop or juice.  This is our only field trip.

The last day of school will be on Wednesday, May 17^th, and graduation will be Thursday, May 18^th.

We need to know as soon as possible about everyone’s plans for this summer for daycare and tutoring so we can make sure we have enough spots for everyone.  Thank you.

·         Dinosaur Unit

·         Graduation will be May 18^th.  This is for the kids who will be attending kindergarten next year.  It is at 7:00 here at the school.

Peel-to-Save Cards Available Until Tomorrow

We have more Peel-to-Save cards available until tomorrow, Friday, March 24^th.  If you need any more, please let us know.  The remaining cards will be picked up on Friday morning.

Fund-Raiser Reminder

Just a reminder:  Our Peel-to-Save Card fund-raiser runs through tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21^st.  We need all money by then and can give you the cards in return.  Remember, for every 10 cards you sell you get a free card.

Sunshine School and Extended Care Fundraiser

We’re having a fundraiser selling Peel-to-Save coupon cards.  We’re selling Lawrence County cards for $10 each.  We will be selling them from Tuesday, March 7^th to Tuesday, March 21^st.  These are great for gifts for family, friends, co-workers, teachers, etc.  You can take orders and money for the cards and return them to receive the cards.  Included are an order form to take orders with and an envelope to put money in.  On the back of the order form is also a picture of what the card looks like.  Money is due when ordering them.  You can return the order form and money at any time through the end of the fundraiser to get your cards.  You get 1 free card for every 10 cards sold.

The Lawrence County cards include coupons for Golden Corral, McDonald’s, Celebrations! Play Center, Orange Leaf, El Compadre, UPS, Big O Tires, Marco’s Pizza, Family Video, Burger King, Papa John’s, Johnny Junxions, Casa Brava, Penn Station, Gasoline Alley Marathon, Chicago’s Pizza, and Jiffy Treat.  There are also discounts on the back for Sam’s Club, UPS, and Gasoline Alley Car Wash, with more discounts to register for online.  These on the back can be used over and over until the card expires.  The cards expire on June 30, 2018.

The fundraiser is to pay for a new gate at the driveway.

Spring Break Reminder Note

Just a reminder:  We will be closed next week, March 13^th to 17^th for Spring Break.  There will not be any daycare or preschool that week.

March 2017 Newsletter

Week of February 28th to March 1st -- O & P Week, Pigs, Post Office, March--Lion or Lamb?, Tornadoes, and Review

Week of March 7th to 9th -- St. Patrick's Day and Review

Week of March  14^th to 16^th—  Spring Break -- No Class or Daycare

Week of March 21st to 23rd -- Q, R, & S Week; Queens; Rabbits; Sun; and Review

We will be closed the week of March 13^th.  There will be no school or daycare.

We will be evaluating the students that will be going to kindergarten next year.  Go to and click on "Community" menu near the top of the screen for dates and information about kindergarten screening at different elementary schools.  If your child will be attending kindergarten next year, make sure and call their school to make an appointment for kindergarten screening on their school’s day.  Children must turn 5 on or before August 1^st.

Our Fundraiser this year is the Lawrence County Peel-to-Save cards.  It will be from March 7^th to 21^st.  More information to follow.

REMINDER:  If the North Lawrence schools are called off because of the weather, we will also be called off.  Also, if there is a two-hour delay, class will be from 10:00-1:00.  Daycare will still be open regular hours.

If we miss 1 school day because of weather, you still need to pay for that day.  If we miss 2 or 3 days any one week, you still pay for the 1 day that week.
