Valentine's Day Party Reminder

Next Thursday, February 10^th, we will have a Valentine’s Day Party and Valentine Day Card Exchange.  We will be making Valentine’s Delivery Trucks for our valentine cards.  Please do not put any other children’s names on the card’s outside or envelopes.  Each child sends one to everyone in the class, but they just sign their own names on the back of the cards.  There are currently 14 in the class.  The cards should be brought February 8^th and 9^th.

 

Will the following children’s mothers please send a special snack for our Valentine Party:  Lincoln Melton and Elaina Norman.

Week of February 1st to 3rd -- K & L Week, Kings, Library, and Abraham Lincoln 

Week of February 8th to 10th -- I & J Week, Ice Cream, Jelly Beans, and Valentine's Day

February 10th -- Valentine's Day Party and Card Exchange

Week of 15th to 17th -- M & N Week, Mice, George Washington, and Presidents Day

Week of 22nd to 24th -- O & P Week, Pigs, Post Office, and Tornadoes

We will be studying about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.  Your child should know many interesting facts about them by the end of the month.

REMINDER:  If the North Lawrence schools are called off because of the weather, we will also be called off.  Also, if there is a two-hour delay class will be from 10:00-1:00.  Daycare will still be open regular hours those days.

Week of January 4th to 6th -- A & B Week, 9 & 10, Begin Positions Unit, Under & On Week, Begin Writing Names, Winter, New Year's, and All About Me

Week of January 11th to 13th -- C & D Week, Dentists, In & Between Week, Begin Tying Shoes, All About Me, Winter, and Martin Luther King

Week of January 18th to 20th -- E & F Week, Eskimos, Friends, Beside & Behind Week, Begin Learning Addresses, and Winter

Week of January 25th to 27th -- G & H Week, Groundhogs, Hats, Positions Review, Begin Learning Phone Numbers, and Winter
January 27th -- Wear a Hat Day

We will begin going through the alphabet again.  This time we will work on objects beginning with each letter, color pictures, and write the letters.
 
This month we are also working on a unit called “All About Me”; positions; writing their names; and learning to tie their shoes, addresses, phone numbers, and birthdays.
