Preschool Pictures and Reminders

Preschool class pictures will be on Thursday, September 13th, during school time. Steve Sheldon will be coming down from Bloomington to take the pictures. There will be both individual and class pictures taken. Proofs will be sent home later and pictures can be ordered then. Money is not needed when the pictures are taken.

Reminders: please send eating utensils in your kid’s lunches for daycare. Also, please send cups and napkins if you haven’t yet. Thank you.

Febrauary 2007 Preschool Newsletter

* Week of Jan. 30th to Feb. 1st--G & H Week, Groundhogs, Hats, finish Positions
* Week of Feb. 6th to 8th--I & J Week, Ice Cream, Jelly Beans, Abraham Lincoln
* Week of Feb. 13th to 15th--K & L Week, Kings, Library, Valentines
* Week of Feb. 20th to 22nd--M & N Week, Mice, George Washington

Thank you for the delicious snacks you have been sending at the beginning of each month.

We will be studying about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Your child should know many interesting facts about them by the end of the month.

Book orders sent home on February 8th and due back February 15th.

February 19th is Presidents’ Day—No School/Make-Up Day
February 23rd is a North Lawrence Schools Half Day.

Reminder: On Wednesday, February 14th, we will be having a Valentine’s Day Party and Card Exchange. We will be making Valentine Delivery Trucks for our valentine cards. Please do not put names on the valentine envelopes. Each child sends one to everyone in the class, but they just sign their name on the back of the card and leave the envelope blank. There are 18 people in the class. These may be brought from the 8th to the 14th.

Reminder: Will the following children’s mothers please send a special snack for our Valentine Party: Tyler Miller, Max Nolan, and Derrick Price.

Reminder: If the North Lawrence Schools are called off for weather reasons, we will also be called off. Also, if there is a two-hour delay, class will be from 10:00-12:00.

We will be evaluating the students that will be entering kindergarten next year beginning the week of February 27th.

We will begin going through the alphabet again. This time we will work on objects beginning with that letter, color pictures, and write the letters.

This month we are also working on a unit called “All About Me;” positions; writing their first name; and learning to tie their shoes, and say addresses and phone numbers.
