Note Daycare the Rest of May Edited

We thought that the last day of school was Thursday, May 29^th as originally scheduled, but it was changed to Friday, May 30^th instead. We need to know if your child is coming that day and if we need to pick them up from school.  Please let us know what time to get them if they need picked up.

We will be open for daycare regular hours on Friday, May 30^th.

Note About the Last Week of Preschool

We will be having preschool on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20^th and 21^stonly.  There will be no class on Thursday, May 22^nd.  The kids that come on Tuesdays and Thursdays can come on Wednesday instead.  For students not graduating, cost for the week will be $16.  For students graduating it will be $24.

Graduation will be Thursday, May 22^nd from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  All the graduates need to be here at 6:45 to get ready.  Graduation will begin at 7:00 for parents, relatives, and friends.  It will be here at the preschool.  Graduation is only for the kids who will be attending kindergarten next year.  The children will be wearing caps and gowns.  Girls—please do not wear ponytails or anything on top of your head.  Refreshments will follow the ceremony.

We will be having daycare regular hours on Thursday and Friday for those who need it.  Please pick up your kids by 5:00 on Thursday if possible so that we can finish preparing for graduation.

We will be closed for daycare on Monday, May 26^th, for Memorial Day, but we will be open regular hours the rest of that week.

Lake Monroe Field Trip Reminder

Just a reminder:  This Thursday, May 15^th, is our trip to Lake Monroe from 10:00 to 2:00.  Please again let us know if you can drive and help us.  Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch and 2 cans of pop or juice.  Your child needs to wear tennis shoes and bring a jacket please.  It’s supposed to be cooler that day, so please dress your children accordingly.  Thanks.

Week of April 29th to May 1st--Begin Dinosaurs Unit--Brontosaurus, Allosaurus, and Stegosaurus; May Day; Space; and Environment

Week of May 6th to 8th--Mother's Day, Strangers, and Environment   

Week of May 13th to 15th--Continue Dinosaur Unit--Pteranodon, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus Rex
May 15th--Lake Monroe Field Trip from 10:00-2:00

Rena will be tutoring children this summer.  This is for children going into kindergarten through Algebra.  If you are interested, please let us know.  We are trying to finalize that schedule.

We will begin practicing graduation songs this month.

Kindergarten screening is at Dollens Thursday, April 17^th.  Please call the school (275-3885) to schedule an individual time for your child.  For children that will be attending other schools, contact that school for screening dates and to schedule a time for your child.  Birth certificates are required at screening.

The Easter Party has been changed to Wednesday, April 16^th, because of Dollens kindergarten screening on Thursday, April 17^th.  The kids that come on Tuesday and Thursday are welcome to come Tuesday and Wednesday that week instead.  There are currently 21 people in the class.  Will the following mothers please send a special snack:  Carter Sollman, Tayah Stinson, Rihanna Tillett, Conner and Cooper Wallbrown, and Brooklyn Asbury.

Thursday, April 24^th, is our trip to Spring Mill from 10:00 to 2:00.  Please let us know if you can drive and help us.  Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch and 2 cans of pop or juice.

The end of the school year will be Wednesday, May 21^st, and graduation will be Thursday, May 22^nd.

Coming up in May:

·          Field Trip to Lake Monroe on May 15^th from 10:00 to 2:00.  We will again need help.

·         Continue Dinosaur Unit

·         Graduation will be May 22^nd.  This is only for the kids who will be attending kindergarten next year.  It is at 7:00 p.m. here at the school.
