Fund-raiser money and forms are due Tuesday, October 26th. We have to have everything no later than Thursday, October 28th.
On Thursday, October 28th, we will be having our Harvest Party, instead of a Halloween Party. The children need to come to class in costume dressed as something related to farming or autumn. Will the following children’s mothers please send a special treat for our party: Cole Baker, Briley Hyde, and Kyle McMillan.

Sunshine School & Extended Care Fund-raiser
We are having a fund-raiser with Celebrating Home from October 14th to 26th. The money must be paid when ordering. Be sure to add 10% for shipping and 7% sales tax. Make checks out to Maria Terry.

School and Extended Care Fall Break Reminder Note
Just a reminder: Next Thursday and Friday, October 21st and 22nd, is Fall Break. We will be closed for both school and daycare both days. The school tuition for the week will be $20. Also, the Tuesday/Thursday kids are welcome to come Tuesday and Wednesday instead that week. Thank you.

Thank you for sending snacks. They are very appreciated. We have 12 people in the class. Please send a snack at the beginning of each month.
In our safety unit we are presenting dangers and what to do or how to avoid them. We want the children to be aware. If you have any questions, please let us know.

About Your Teachers
Rohnda is married to Bob, who is a fisheries research biologist at the Avoca Fish Hatchery. She has two daughters--Rena (see below) and Robyn. Rohnda has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in elementary education with a minor in kindergarten. She holds a master’s degree from Indiana University in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood. Rohnda began teaching third grade at Brownstown Elementary. This is her 25th year to have Sunshine School. Rohnda and Rena attend River’s Edge Fellowship Church. Rohnda likes to collect magnets and owls and to read, read, and read when she can find the time.
Rena graduated from Milligan College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education. This is her eleventh year teaching. She likes to collect keychains, and to read, shop, and watch sports, particularly IU basketball and the Atlanta Braves.
