Christmas Party and Christmas Vacation Reminder

On Thursday, December 16th, we will have our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange. The gift should cost around $5.00. The boys need to bring a boy’s gift and the girl’s need to bring a girl’s gift. Will the following children’s mothers send a special snack for the party: Jordan New, Audrey Parker, and Xavier Sullivan.

Our last day before Christmas Vacation is December 16th. We resume school on January 4th. The last day we will have extended care will be December 17th. We will resume extended care on January 3rd.

The Christmas Caroling (December 9th) and Sleepover (December 10th) have been postponed until February. We will give more details in January. Rohnda's having her tonsils out on Wednesday, December 8th. We will still be having school and extended care like normal these last two weeks before Christmas.

December Newsletter

Week of November 30th to December 2nd--Numbers 3 & 4 and 5 & 6, Christmas, and Christmas Around the World: Africa, Mexico, and England

Friday, December 3rd--Sleepover--7:00 pm to 10:00 am, Christmas Caroling--7:00, Santa Claus--9:00 pm, Cost $10

Week of December 7th to 9th-- Numbers 5 & 6 and 7 & 8, Christmas, and Christmas Around the World: France, Italy, and Germany

Thursday, December 9th--Christmas Caroling

Week of December 14th to 16th--Numbers 9 & 10, Number Review, Christmas, Christmas Around the World: Holland, Sweden, United States

Thursday December 16th--Christmas Party and Gift Exchange--$5


Thank you for sending snacks. They are very much appreciated. We presently have 12 in the class. Please send a snack at the beginning of each month.

We will be sending home advent chains on December 1st. The children should take off one candy cane each day starting at the bottom beginning on December 1st. When they take off the last one, the next day will be Christmas.

We are going Christmas Caroling on Thursday, December 9th, to the stores in Oolitic. We will need parents to help and drive.

Our Sleepover will be on Friday, December 3rd. This is to give you an evening to shop or wrap presents. Older siblings are welcome to come to the Sleepover also. It will begin at 7:00 on Friday evening. We will be going Christmas caroling first. If you can help with this, please let us know. The children need to bring a sleeping bag or bed roll, pajamas, pillow, clothes for Saturday, and one favorite stuffed animal. Please put your child’s name on everything. Santa Claus will come around 9:00 pm to hear what the children want for Christmas. You will need to pick up your child by 10:00 Saturday morning. We will have breakfast here. There is a $10.00 charge for the Sleepover. Please let us know by November 30th if your child will be attending so we can plan for breakfast.

Sleepover Note for School & Extended Care

Our Sleepover will be on Friday, December 3rd. This is to give you an evening to shop or wrap presents. Older siblings are welcome to come to the Sleepover also. It will begin at 7:00 on Friday evening. We will be going Christmas caroling first. If you can help with this, please let us know. The children need to bring a sleeping bag or bedroll, pajamas, pillow, clothes for Saturday, and one favorite stuffed animal. Please put your child’s name on everything. Santa Claus will come around 9:00 pm to hear what the children want for Christmas. You will need to pick up your child by 10:00 Saturday morning. We will have breakfast here. There is a $10.00 charge for the Sleepover. Please let us know by November 30th if your child will be attending so we can plan for breakfast.
