Thank you for sending all of the delicious snacks at the beginning of each month.

We will begin going through the alphabet again. This time we will work on objects beginning with that letter, color pictures, and write the letters.

This month we are also working on a unit called “All About Me;” positions; writing their name; and learning to tie their shoes, and say addresses, phone numbers, and birthdays.

Caroling is rescheduled for Wednesday, February 9th, to the stores in Oolitic. We will be learning love songs to sing for this. We will need parents to help and drive. Kids that come on Tuesdays and Thursdays are welcome to come all week or Wednesday and Thursday instead that week.

On Thursday, February 10th, we will have a Valentine’s Day Party and Valentine Day Card Exchange. We will be making Valentine’s Delivery Trucks for our valentine cards. Please do not put any names on the valentine envelopes. Each child sends one to everyone in the class, but they just sign their names on the back of the card and leave the envelope blank. There are 14 children in the class. The cards may be brought the 8th-10th.

Will the following children’s mothers please send a special snack for our Valentine Party: Ayden Stiles, Chelsey Harper, and Peyton Hale.

Our Sleepover is rescheduled for Friday, February 11th. Older siblings are welcome to come to the Sleepover also. It will begin at 7:00 on Friday evening. The children need to bring a sleeping bag or bedroll, pajamas, pillow, clothes for Saturday, and one favorite stuffed animal. Please put your child’s name on everything. You will need to pick up your child by 10:00 Saturday morning. We will have breakfast here. There is a $10.00 charge for the Sleepover. Please let us know by February 8th if your child will be attending so we can plan for breakfast.

Please send napkins (200 count) for our snacks. Thanks.

REMINDER: If the North Lawrence schools are called off for weather reasons, we will also be called off. Also, if there is a two-hour delay, class will be from 10:00-12:00.

If we miss 1 school day because of weather, you still need to pay for that day. If we miss 2 or 3 days any one week, you still only pay for the 1 day that week.

Christmas Party Reminder

Just a reminder: On Tuesday, January 4th, we will have our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange. The gift should cost around $5.00 (If they haven't been sent already). The boys need to bring a boy’s gift and the girl’s need to bring a girl’s gift. Will the following children’s mothers send a special snack for the party: Jordan New, Audrey Parker, and Xavier Sullivan.

The Christmas Caroling (December 9th) and Sleepover (December 10th) have been postponed until February. We will give more details in January. Rohnda's having her tonsils out on Wednesday, December 8th. We will still be having school and extended care like normal these last two weeks before Christmas.

Thank you for sending snacks. They are very much appreciated. We presently have 12 in the class. Please send a snack at the beginning of each month.

We will be sending home advent chains on December 1st. The children should take off one candy cane each day starting at the bottom beginning on December 1st. When they take off the last one, the next day will be Christmas.

We are going Christmas Caroling on Thursday, December 9th, to the stores in Oolitic. We will need parents to help and drive.

Our Sleepover will be on Friday, December 3rd. This is to give you an evening to shop or wrap presents. Older siblings are welcome to come to the Sleepover also. It will begin at 7:00 on Friday evening. We will be going Christmas caroling first. If you can help with this, please let us know. Our last day before Christmas Vacation is December 16th. We resume school on January 4th. The last day we will have extended care will be December 17th. We will resume extended care on January 3rd.
