Fall Break – October 11th to 13th – Closed
In our safety unit we are presenting dangers and what to do or how to avoid them. We want the children to be aware. If you have any questions, please let us know.
We will be closed for Fall Break for
preschool from October 11th to 13th. We will also be closed for daycare from
October 10th to 14th.
On Thursday, October 27th, we
will be having our Harvest Party, instead of a Halloween Party. The children need to come to class dressed as
something related to farming or autumn (or something else not scary). Will the following children please bring a
special treat for our party: Judith
Johnson, Bladen Major, and Lilah McCameron.
We divide the class up to have some kids bringing snacks to each party.

Your Teachers
Rohnda
is married to Bob, who is a retired fisheries research biologist at the Avoca
Fish Hatchery. She has two daughters—Rena
(see below) and Robyn. Rohnda has a
bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in elementary education with a
minor in kindergarten. She holds a
master’s degree from Indiana University in elementary education with an
emphasis in early childhood. Rohnda
began teaching third grade at Brownstown Elementary. This is her 37th year to have
Sunshine School. Rohnda and Rena attend
Englewood Baptist Church. Rohnda likes
to collect magnets and owls and to read, read, read, and read when she can find
the time.
Rena
graduated from Milligan College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in early
childhood and elementary education. This
is her 23rd year teaching.
She likes to coupon, read, shop, and watch sports, particularly IU, the
Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and Chicago Cubs.
